A fictional piece
This is my first short story (download below). It is a fiction piece with some historical bits blended in. I am now at work on my next novel, Letters from the Hollow. It takes place in Kentucky. My first one, Shu Wei’s Revenge, is a story about a Chinese family whose fortunes rise and fall around events in China and in San Francisco’s Chinatown. It is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. I will be discussing the writing of this book in a future post.

Great story, Jack! Very imaginative, with a Vonnegut-esque blend of humor and social commentary. No matter how advanced technology gets – like the Retrospectrum – the core of human nature remains the same.
